Title: Status of New NOAA ENCs

Comments: The purpose of this map service is to provide progress updates on NOAA's new ENCs. The extents (footprints) of all NOAA ENCs are being reschemed into a gridded layout. The existing layout is based on the irregular shapes of the paper charts from which the ENC cells were originally created. The new gridded layout for NOAA ENCs has been designed for the following scales: Harbor (band 5), Approach (band 4), Coastal (band 3), and General (band 2); the gridded layout for Overview (band 1) and Berthing (band 6) ENCs is still in development. This map service is used in the web application (https://distribution.charts.noaa.gov/ENC/rescheme/) and displays the extents and status of new ENC cells that will be created.
